As the Sales and Product Manager of Engineered Materials, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and building strong customer relationships within the engineering materials sector, with an emphasis on promoting and selling key products, including compounds such as Polyamide, POM, PEEK, PPS, PSU, LCPs, PBT, and other polymer compounds. You will also provide critical technical support for the sales team across the East Area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development: Design and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and achieve revenue goals, with a focus on driving sales of engineering compounds like Polyamide, POM, PEEK, and other key products.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities and competitive insights, tailoring strategies to maximize sales of specified engineering compounds.
- Market Expansion: Identify new customer segments, geographic regions, and industry verticals to expand market presence, particularly for core products like polymer compounds.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and engineering materials, especially related to polymers, to effectively promote and sell company products.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts, monitor performance, and generate reports to highlight key achievements and growth opportunities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align on sales goals, address customer requirements, and refine processes for business optimization.
- Budget Management: Oversee sales budgets, manage expenses, and allocate resources efficiently.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards across all sales activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Proven sales management experience, preferably within engineering materials or manufacturing sectors, with knowledge of compounds such as Polyamide, POM, PEEK, and PPS.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across cultures and languages, with fluency in English.
- A results-driven mindset with a track record of taking projects from concept to execution.
- Analytical abilities to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Flexibility to travel extensively (more than 60%) to engage with clients and expand market reach.
