The solar reflectance index (SRI) is a key factor in buildings in warmer climates, where the main energy concern is cooling control. 

 

Omya’s lightweight fillers positively influence the SRI of elastomeric roof coatings, which is based on measures of solar reflectance and thermal emittance.

 

 

Our lightweight fillers also improve the mechanical and weathering-related properties of roofing coatings, with a lower tendency to cracking leading to higher elongation.
