SALARY RANGE: ​

$80,000 TO 110,00 USD a year.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the application of Quality and Environment considerations into the Integrated Management Systems (IMS) and related projects  

    • BBS (Behavior Based Safety): Monthly documentation of task based observations in order to promote safe work practices and provide positive reinforcement.

    • Oversee the Incident Management system to ensure compliance to requirements.

    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and other environmental requirements. Site contact for regulatory agencies.  Prepare and submit permit applications, reports, and other communications with regulatory agencies.

    • Maintain a register of all legal and other environmental requirements and evaluate for compliance annually.

    • Ensure that quality and environmental site procedures and instructions are maintained and available to users according to Omya’s definition.

    • Investigate and resolve all customer complaints according to Omya’s Guidelines and Procedures.

    • Lead the process that ensure continuous improvements related with Process Capability and permanent reduction of Product Out of Specification.

    • Ensure a permanent availability of Product Documentation (PSS, PIS, CoA, etc.) according to Omya’s Guidelines and Procedures.

    • Implement and maintain the emergency preparedness and response procedure and periodically test and revise the procedure.

    • Conduct environmental and quality risk assessments for capital projects and changes within the MOC system.

    • Support the Joint Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Committee as Facilitator.

  • Oversee all aspects of the (IMS) to ensure continuous improvement

    • Actively participate in root cause determinations and application of corrective actions as applicable.

    • Report the performance of management system to the to the management team to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness.

    • Conduct/coordinate Internal Audits to ensure continuous improvement and evaluate effectiveness of the IMS

    • Identify opportunities to improve IMS

    • Compile data for monthly activity reports (ex. Q&E KPIs, objectives, OMIS

    • Maintain recordkeeping and reporting systems to meet environmental permit and other requirements.

  • Supervise laboratory operations

    • Ensure that product requirements are defined and maintained.

    • Align priorities for laboratory technician and manage issues as needed.

    • Set personal objectives (MBO) for the laboratory technician and monitor progress

    • Keep the quality database updated.

    • Oversee lab methodology accomplish.

    • Coordinate quality strategies with quarry and production to assure the best outcome.

    • Provide quality trainings to the personnel. 

  • Responsible for sustainable development initiatives and stakeholder concerns.

    • Coordinate communication with external parties on matters relating to IMS and ISO registrations.

    • Act as site representative to external stakeholders for sustainable development initiatives or other stakeholder concerns.

    • Receive and process all charitable donation or sponsorship requests and communicate as appropriate.

    • Support Regional and Corporate Sustainability initiatives.

  • Manage assigned projects and support team members in their own assigned projects

    • Assist Plant Manager

    • Other duties as assigned. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or a similar field. Master's preferred but not required.

5 years’ experience in quality management and regulatory compliance.

Demonstrated experience with obtaining and maintaining ISO 9001 registration at manufacturing facilities in required. Familiarity with ISO 140001 and ISO 45001.

Must be experienced in managing customer and third-party standard requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

Demonstrated experience with Minitab® (or similar), Excel®, and Statistical Process Control.
