Junior Process Control & Automation Specialist

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Junior automation engineer will assist other engineers in the automation scope for capital projects in the region. This Includes PLC and SCADA programming, readiness and setup for OT systems and data engineer support, this person will travel extensively to sites for helping during commissioning and startups with the target to be responsible for small projects at short term.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure automation system are fully ready for commissioning to avoid delays in projects.
- Follow OMYA standards and guidelines on programming and code development as well software that is install in the servers and pcs.
- Provide updates in progress to the leader of the project, communicate and work until resolution for any obstacles.
- Provide support to the Electrical and Automation Engineering team.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Electrical, Automation Engineering or similar degree. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in electrical and / or automation engineering field.
PLC and SCADA Programming in at least one of the following brands Schneider Electric, Rockwell or Siemens. Industrial instrumentation wiring and basic setup experience.
Basic knowledge in industrial networks as Ethernet IP, Modbus TCP, ASi. Open to learn new systems and software. Interpersonal and organizational skills. Good communication skills.
Must be willing to travel internationally at least 70% of the time to the USA and/or Latin America.
